One of my favorite stops on the Nebraska Passport this summer is the Meadville Store and Park. Located 18 miles north of Ainsworth, the store and park are in a beautiful area next to the Niobrara River.

The store was built in 1910 and also served as the town’s post office and is now a bar and grill. The food is great, I enjoyed a tasty cheeseburger and some fries. The owners were so friendly and shared their knowledge of the area with me as I ate.

Meadville hosts a Polar Plunge in the winter, 4th of July Celebration and an OctoberFest celebration. This year the OctoberFest is October 3rd. You will also enjoy bringing some friends and gathering in Meadville to watch some football on Saturdays in the fall.

I hope others will join me as I make another trip to Meadville this fall for their OctoberFest. Check them out on Facebook and stay up to date on what is happening in Meadville.
