Events July 22-28

Kearney, Nebraska- The Buffalo County Fair starts Wednesday and goes through Monday July 29th. Come on out to the fairgrounds to see all the 4-H exhibits, go on some rides at the carnival or play Bingo. Jake Owen will be performing on stage Thursday evening with special guest star Kip Moore. Events July 17th-21st

Kearney, Nebraska- Vroom Vroom… Kearney Cruise Nite kicks off tomorrow and has activities running through Sunday. View a full list of events on their website: http://www.cruisenite.org/events-calendar/.

Hastings, Nebraska- The Adams County Fair begins tomorrow and runs through Sunday. Take the kids out to see all the animals, enjoy some delicious food and have fun at the carnival. There are also some good country acts on stage such as Chase Rice and Jarrod Niemann.

Events July 11th-14th

Chadron, Nebraska- The annual Fur Trade Days begins today July 11th and goes through Sunday in Chadron. The flea market will run all day Friday-Sunday at the courthouse lawn in Chadron. Other happenings include: a parade, car show, fur trade demos, a ranch rodeo, plus much more. Plan a trip by checking out the full list of events: http://www.chadron.com/FurTradeDays.cfm

Grand Island, Nebraska- The Hall County Fair is going on through Sunday in Grand Island. County fairs in Nebraska make a great family outting. Performances at the fair include: Joe Nichols on Thursday night, Scotty McCreery on Friday night and Bill Cosby on Saturday night. 4th of July in Nebraska

4th of July is a favorite holiday to many individuals in Nebraska. It’s a great holiday to spend time with friends and family, but it’s also a good time to remember what it means to be free in America.

There are several events going on throughout the state to help you enjoy the holiday.

Lincoln, Nebraska- Watch a great display of fireworks at the Uncle Sam Jam which is choreographed to live music. The event begins at 3pm with food and beverage vendors at Oak Park Lake. Plan to arrive early and grab a good seat to watch the fireworks at 10pm.

Omaha, Nebraska- The College Home Run Derby and Firework display will take place at TD Ameritrade Park. If you have not go your tickets for this event, arrive early and get some at the ticket box. Prices are $12 for Adults, $8 for youth and $35 for a 4-pack of tickets. If you have time before the fireworks; I recommend stopping at Goodnights across from the stadium and enjoying some good pizza and an ice cold beverage.

Seward, Nebraska- Seward is the America’s 4th of July city. The town will have their annual 4th of July celebration on Thursday. The streets are packed with food, vendors, performances by dance groups, a grand parade, a 10K run and much more. To check out everything they will have visit: http://www.julyfourthseward.com/.

Grand Island, Nebraska- Stuhr Museum will be hosting an 1890’s 4th of July Celebration; 9am-5pm on Thursday. A parade down Railroad Town’s Front Street starts at 2pm, children and adults can participate in a pie eating contest, enjoy live patriotic music, take a ride in a horse drawn wagon, and much more. Admission is $10 for adults and $8 for children.

Weekend Events June 21-23

Duncan, Nebraska- Duncan Ribfest runs Saturday-Sunday. Go out, try some delicious ribs, have a cold brew and support the Duncan Wrestling Club.

North Platte- NebraskaLand Days is still going on and it’s concert weekend. Kid Rock and Lee Brice perform tonight and Halestorm and SickPuppies take the stage Saturday night.

Please be on the lookout for some severe storms that may pop up throughout the weekend. Have a plan of action, but have an enjoyable weekend!

Weekend Events June 14th-16th

NebraskaLand Days is going on in North Platte. You can wrangle with some cowboys and check out the Buffalo Bill Rodeo on Saturday.

Sage Hill Vineyards and Winery is hosting a kayak race to raise funds for the Parks Community Center. $25 gets you into the race and some food. The event starts at 2pm on Saturday and I plan to attend.

Weekend events June 7th-9th

It’s going to be a busy June weekend across the state of Nebraska. Below are a few events that are going on this weekend.

Kimball has their 5th annual Kimball Ranch Rodeo on Saturday. Come out to Kimball to watch a rodeo, get some food and drink a beer. The festivities begin at 6pm.

Sidney has Gold Rush Days June 7th and 8th. Plenty events with music, campfires, a 5K race, biscuits and gravy on Saturday morning, plus much more. Check out their website for more information: http://www.sidneygoldrush.com/.
