Fort Kearny Outdoor Expo

I have a passion for the outdoor lifestyle; fishing, archery, target shooting, biking, hiking, walking, camping, skiing, plus much more.  If I could spend all day outdoors I could.  I enjoy telling individuals all about Nebraska’s wonderful state park and recreation areas.  Nebraska has so much to offer when it comes to being outdoors especially through Nebraska Game and Parks.  Trails, lakes, historic forts, fishing ponds, camping and other recreation areas.  You will always find something to do in this state.

On May 7th, 2016 Fort Kearny will be hosting their annual Outdoor Expo 9am to 4pm.  This is a great opportunity for individuals of all ages (yes, even children) to explore, learn and grow their knowledge of the great outdoors.  Experts will be instructing kayaking, fishing, archery, camping, cooking and much more.  Check out demonstrations, learn about Nebraska fish and wildlife species.  Also, you will not want to miss the Timberworks Lumberjack Show!  I hope to see everyone out there this year.

You can take four different paths of hunting, fishing, camping and shooting sports.

Each pathway has six levels of achievement to help you better your skills and knowledge of the outdoors. Whether you want to be a better camp cook, angler or hunter this is an excellent program to join. You can share your experiences with others who love the outdoors and learn from others as well.

Start your adventure today, I already have and I can’t wait to continue my success with outdoor hobbies. With all the great outdoor places, state parks and lakes Nebraska has, it is so great to have an interactive online community to stay connected with other enthusiasts just like myself.

Bike Ride Across Nebraska 2013

Bike Ride Across Nebraska began yesterday in Kimball. Follow the hundreds of bicycle riders as they make the trek across the state of Nebraska all week. See if they stop in your town this week and if they do, I recommend to cheer on these ambitious bikers.

Below is the link to the website about that will give you their route.
